Lorenna McKennitt's "Marco Polo" is the "Stairway to Heaven" of belly dance.

Snort!! :)

(I literally did snort while laughing at that. That was a tiny bit embarassing.)

I aim to please!

I was thinking this while listening to Loreena McKennitt on the way home the other day (an infrequent indulgence). I was pondering how everyone has seen 1 or 2 or 6 or 10 beginner classes dance to "Marco Polo" for their first choreography. Nothing wrong with that! But hearing that song reminds me of the "No Stairway to Heaven" music store section of the first Wayne's World movie.

Here the beginner classes are all-Hakim-all-the-time. I mean, I like Hakim as much as the next girl, but enough is enough!
